nothing special, got changed into race gear

none.. Stood around chatting. Pretty low key.

good swim, great temperature of the waters just cold enough to be refreshing.
What would you do differently?:

swam closer to short before standing up, it is tiring wading through water knee deep!

really got worked on the bike course. Hadn't really trained for the race and it showed in my bike as I was passed a lot!

more specific bike training other than commuting and spin class

For my first tri I am happy with this one! It wasn't really planned we just happened to be going through Wawa enroute to a camping trip on Lake Superior, I was looking for a tri all summer that would fit into my schedule and came across this one while researching our trip! I was flloored when they told me I was the 3rd overall adult male, there seemed to be quite a few people doing the race but it turns out a lot of them where doing the team race. Thanks to the organizers and friendly people of this great little Northern Ontario town!
