Seems kind of light for 77 murders. http://news.yahoo.com/court-finds-norwegian-mass-killer-breivik-sane-082140655.html . I guess he has to pass some sort of parole hearing after that time to get out.

The maximum prison sentence in Norway is 21 years with the exception of a 30 year sentence max for terrorism that has not taken effect yet.

What puzzles me is that though they have what appears from a US perspective to be a light maximum sentence on the books, the other side of the coin is their law allowing indefinite lockup if a person is deemed to still be a threat. I am not clear on who makes that determination. Seems to be a odd juxtaposition, and both concepts rase my eyebrows. I would be interested in seeing how the ACLU would address a similar policy in the US.
