Pre-race routine:

Total mess. Long night at work, then I worked all day and into the night the day before the race. Went to bed around midnight, got up at 0415. Did not feel great.
Event warmup:

Typical prep for the race for me. Swam for a few minutes before the race, that made me feel pretty good going into the swim.

Pretty good swim. Faster than I thought. I got winded pretty early, but then fell into a rhythm. I think I was going faster than I thought. I will need to be careful on a longer swim. Bouy rounding was much better, but I still got caught a little. Contact was much more comfortable. OWS is just getting better.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing, good swim in general.

Average to good transition. Setup was good, execution was fine. I stumbled with getting into my clips. Can't blame anything, it just happened.
What would you do differently?:

I can't really improve without getting new equipment.

I didn't have a lot of energy going into the race in general and I didn't feel very good getting on the bike. My goal was to drink my bottle on the bike leg and I came in with water left. Good smooth turn around.
What would you do differently?:

I need to train in the aero position more, even at the expense of pace.

I do well in t2 generally. Things went smooth. I felt tired so I didn't have a topped out sense of urgency.
What would you do differently?:

I can't do much differently until I get new cycling shoes.

Once again, I just didn't feel good. I didn't have the bounce I usually have on the run. Today's pace was well above what I have done earlier in the series. I don't get drinks on the run so that wasn't an issue.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing.

Warm down:

Walked for a bit then ate some post race food.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

All of my problems today are attributed to not being well prepared. Two bad night's sleep and not a lot of personal prep time really had its effect. I don't want to come into a race like this again.
