Swim
Comments: They changes the course due to vegetation in lake and it may have been a little long but I was happy with the swim overall. My swim training has not been great and my goal was to just keep a good pace. The M-Z wave I was in seemed to have some solid swimmers so I was able to draft for a while which was a nice change. The turn towards shore was a mess as there was a green bouy that no one was using. Transition 1
Comments: not a bad transition as I think i was 9th in the age group. Bike
Comments: It is a fun 3 loop course and I knew it was going to get a little crowded but I continued to push it pretty hard and I am very happy with the avg here. What would you do differently?: Just need to get out and ride more. Transition 2
Comments: Not too happy with this time as I was 27th in the AG. I spent a little extra time putting on socks as I knew I would need it on the run. What would you do differently?: Not wear socks but I prefer to wear them at this distance. Run
Comments: I was happy that I kept a solid pace throughout. There is no doubt that I did not leave much out there as the last mile or so was rough. After looking at the results, I guess I was pretty consistent throughout which I am very happy with. I think I had the 27th fastest splits on all 3 overall which is very odd. Post race
Warm down: Post race massage was great and followed that up with a Red Hook IPA. Last updated: 2012-04-25 12:00 AM
