Pre-race routine:

After checking the bike last night and airing up the tires I discovered a flag just when I was about to put the bike in the car. I replaced the tube and put the bike in the car. I had a cup of coffee and a stinger waffles before leaving the house. I got to transition set up early.

The swim was not too bad. I kept an even stroke and kept the heart rate low.
I was stuck behind 3 swimmers and it took some time to pass them but I eventually did. I actually put my heart rate strap on for the swim which felt kind of funny and got out of place in the middle of the swim.
What would you do differently?:

I need to get into the pool on a more consistent basis but I can make up more room by training for the bike and run. I know I can swim the 250 yards fast than the time I got.

I am disappointed with the bike portion. I am not sure what went wrong but I wasn't able to push as much as I usually can. I could have shaved another 2 minutes of the time.

The first lap was bad and I had some pain in my left side but after a while I got into a rhythm and the pain went away.
What would you do differently?:

Running is my weakness. I need to consistently train the run to get better and shave of some more time.
