Swim
Comments: I had been averaging 1:30's in all my previous distance swims so I figured I didn't need a wetsuit. I could save some time in transition. I was one of very few not wearing one. Transition 1
Bike
Comments: Took a gel at the beginning of the bike and felt like I was going to throw it up almost the entire time (run also). I had taken a electrolyte drink before the race for the first time and I didn't need the gel. I usually take a gel after the swim so I did this time too and it set me back. What would you do differently?: Only take one electrolyte source that early in a race. Transition 2
Comments: Fastest I have done it yet. 2nd in my age group Run
Comments: I wasn't feeling good during the run with stomach cramps and a pain in the medial side of my right knee. Not happy at all with my run Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: Too much energy (food/drink) in my system at the start of the race made me feel sick and unable to push harder. Event comments: Best run race I have been in yet Last updated: 2012-02-18 12:00 AM
