Subject: finally got the 'ok'
2 yrs after a stroke & numerous attempts to get my dr. to say yes, he finally did it.... I kept hanging on, 'cause you guys are terrific - - such an inspiration. And reading Michael's book over & over kept me sane!! So my very first tri is in Aug. I've started training with my coach/sister-in-law (she's terrific) and we're gonna do it together, although she's doing the olympic, i'm doing the beginner - hey gotta start somewhere. Again thanks to all for keeping me going

that's why I came back- you guys are awesome - - - race is Aug 20-21 in Manitoba (Canada), an 11-hr drive for me (from Thunder Bay Ontario) but that's ok

Hi Lisa...glad to hear that you are back and fired up to tri!!! Good luck with your tri, let us know how it goes. I hear you about the long drive to the tri (mine is only 6 hrs). Lots of time to go over your strategy and mental prep.
