I am right now just riding my XL Ridley Excalibur for the few tri's that I have done.  Sprints only.  And am really wanting to take the next step and buy a Tri bike since this is the event I really like the most.  Problem is finding a bike in my size.  None of the local shops stock the larger tri bikes so try before you buy is most likely not going to happen.  I would like to find out what some of you are riding, size and brand.  I hear the Cervelo P2 in 61cm is tall guy friendly but and have also found that alot of the companies like Specialized etc. the biggest tri bike they make is a 59cm XL in say the Transition.  I'm thinking a transition is gonna be way small.  Also I don't want to have like 10" of saddle to bar drop.  I don't quite bend like that for now.  So if your tall please speak up..

I ride a 61 cervelo p2c and fit it nicely, it is the limit of bike for me, I would not go to a smaller frame, yes some people say a 58 is great a 56 is great but you need to be ubber flexible to ride one with a low headtube, the cervelo is a 190. I have a 36 inch inseam and this bike is good as the headtube is closer to the toptube-if that makes sense? I had a choice at this price range to go custom or have the cervelo, the guy in the shop pushed me to the cervelo and I am happy with it. John.

My son and I where measured for fit he is 6'4" I am 6'0" but I'm 5 inches longer in the torso and he is all legs. For him they recommended a cannon dale slice 5 58cm for the shorter cockpit. For me they recommended a cervelo p2 for the longer cockpit. So we both have a 58 but we are different heights. You need to get measure for fit and then pick the right ride.

I'm 6'5" and far from flexible. I ride a 61 P2 and a 61 Soloist. I also have a 61 Duel.

The Cervelo guys travel around in a van and do test rides at local bike shops. It's a great way to demo the latest, greatest bikes. Go to their website and see if there is a demo in your area.

I'm 6' 4", 189 Lbs, I ride a Softride Powerwing 650 Large frame with Large size beam. Makes it a 58" inch frame by their sizing chart. Fits me great, my drop may be a little much for you, but you could easily build this bike to a less aggressive position, that part of the beauty of Softrides, they are ultra adjustable. Pretty affordable as well as far as used tri bikes go.

I'm 6'4" 180-185lbs and ride a L (I think a 58?) Quintana Roo CD0.1.  It's a long and low bike which suits me fine, as I have relatively short legs (35' inseam) compared to my torso.  I do ride steep, though the bike will fit fine if you don't.  I've actually had to get creative to get as low as I wanted to go.  I ended up mounting the extensions under the base bar with spacers to make it so the armrests sit directly on top of the base (at least until I can afford an integrated set) attached to a -17 deg IIRC 130mm stem with no spacers.

Comfy vs. fast.  I wish the angle showed just how much we dropped it.  2mph on the same sprint course. . .mostly through aero gains.

Have you been fit (and do you know what that means)? That will help guide in the decision process. You won't get the exact bike from the fit, but it will tell you the fit position and from that you have the information to find what bikes will work well for you. This is how to "try before you buy" with bikes. You don't actually try the bike, but find the position first. A decent shop should be able to easily switch out saddles or the bars once it's in the store if you have different preferences than what it came with.

I'm an inch under your requirement, but see bikes from every manufacturer that I could fit on. And most all of them are one down from the largest size they have available. Everyone has something I can get onto and be reasonably aero in. What limits me is that I do want a substantial drop, and many are relaxing on this to fit the majority of the population better.

I'm 6'5", 215-220 lbs, and I ride a 59.5cm Kestrel 4000 Pro.  It's a long and low bike relative to a P2 or something like a Speed Concept.  Over the past year I've tweaked the fit myself and am now very comfortable on the bike.  I think the lower front end (frame) has been good for me because it has allowed me to slower lower the cockpit via spacers and stems over time as I grew into a more aggressive position.  I found that most shops stopped stocking at 58cm, but I was able to ride 5-6 different bikes in my size before buying by shopping around a lot.

I am 6'7" and ride a 61cm cervelo p2. It will depend on your leg length and torso length as tri bikes are chosen more by top tube length. The p2 has a longer top tube than most tri bikes so if you have long legs and a short torso it may not be the bike for you.

That looks a pretty crazy drop from your saddle to your aerobars it even crazier from saddle to pedals...how long are your legs?

Probably not helpful to you, but.... I'm 6'7".  I have converted my road bike (1990 Schwinn Circuit - 63cm) to a "tri-bike".  I have had it professionally fit, and it works just perfectly for me.  It is quite the conversation piece at tours and races.

I'm all arms and legs. Also, those are 650c wheels so that doesn't help the appearance.

It fits me well, I'll get a pic up later of me actually on the thing, it doesn't look so crazy when I'm on it.
