This is a good, well-run race.  Rev3 does a great job, so if you're on the fence (especially with 2 transitions), know that it's top-notch.  Be prepared for a hilly, windy ride, and the middle part of the run (after you split from the Oly) can get a little lonely.

I'm in. After reading about everyone's course-crushing performances at Augusta, I hope I made the right choice for my first half. Undecided I'm ready to go out there and have some fun!

I survived the swim and bike before my injury took me out. Great swim layout, bike is beautiful--WINDY last year (balloons for pre/post activites were grounded the whole time)-Im talking LEAN your bike WINDY. Had a few hills I remember, but so did/does Augusta. Can't say anything about the run. Good luck!

I remember this course being much hillier than Augusta.  Of course, it could be that I did the half last year two weeks after Augusta, and probably wasn't fully recovered, but who's counting?

Having done the Oly last year and a Half in Augusta this year I will say that the bike on REV3 is much harder then the Augusta. Coming right out of transition you have a steep uphill and then its mostly rollers but there is a lot of them. Run is not too bad but it's not a scenic run and some of the loops they make you do seem kind of ridiculous. I wish the run was little better planned.

It was WINDY like everyone says and it was cold last year doesn't look like it will be any warmer this year either so plan accordingly. Well run and awesome race though I would have done it this year but ended up doing Augusta.

I don't want to sound too worried, I really am looking forward to it. I suppose it wouldn't be looked at as a PR course, but since it's my first half it'll be my PR to beat later. I did ride the first part of the course a couple of times (40 miles once, then 24 miles), never rode the last part. That first part definitely has some hills including uphill right at the start. It looks like it'll be chilly, we'll have to wait a few more days to get a better idea of exactly how chilly.

First part is the hardest.  from Pendleton back to transition has some uphill but not terrible
