Besides the bike, it's race wheels. Are they worth it? From a performance standpoint, no, from a cool, I love these wheels standpoint, yes!!

My P4 with Hed wheels and a powertap.

Was it worth it?  Functionally....heck no!  but I sure do have a blast with it and love drooling all over it hanging on my wall!   So in that sense it was worth it!! Tongue out

NeverEnough - 2012-10-16 8:08 PM Apart from my bike.  SRM power meter and Zipp Wheels.  Of the two....the SRM makes more sense but the wheels are pretty damn cool too   I keep telling myself not to buy the $400 SWorks Trivent shoes but I know I will break down and buy them too!

I bought a pair of these - trust me, you NEED them!

Besides my bike ($200 20 years ago), would be running shoes at $100.  My wetsuit is used at $20, and my trisuit was something like $70 at an outlet store.  I paid retail for the shoes to get analysis, etc.  If you couldn't tell, I'm incredibly cheap.

My next investment will be possibly the St. George HIM in May at around $200.  If I finish my masters, I'll celebrate with a used tri bike and an IMAZ entry fee.

Swimex swimspa as the closest pool is 100 miles away.  Worth it, probably not.  Convienent yes, saves me 12 hours of driving a week so ... yes convienent but really can't justify the cost it is a luxury item I will be paying for for a very long time.

Cervelo P2C for me. Although all the other purchases have surpassed that one.

$600 for a wetsuit. Probably overkill but once I figured out how to put it on correctly it sure is comfy.

$300 for an S-Works helmet. Spendy but keeps my noggin cool.

$300 for S-Works shoes. Wonderful investment, love the BOA enclosures, very comfy.

The next thing will most likely be some race wheels. Decided to rededicate myself to my IM before 30 years old goal so that puts me at IMCDA in 2014. Gonna need some shiny race wheels right?

Now that is funny! This sport may have SAVED me money by kicking what could have been a future relationship to curb.

But other than that my bike... but close second and soon to be more is the cost for my gym for pool and coaching per month.... that runs me about $300+ a month... do thats for a few years...
