Problem with routing

Hey all, I've used this site for a few years now and have never had a problem making new routes for myself. Today I went to make a new route and when I went to start it and click my start position, there's nothing there, I can't click through either. Does this make sense? Is there something I can look at on my computer to see if something isn't running making this happen, or is there something I can do on the site that will make my start and other lines for the route show up? I tried on another site as well and same thing...nothing. Thinking it's my computer. Is it flash that makes this work? I just want to log my walk today, can't even do it on google earth. Any help would be appreciated , thank you so very very much
