Mind Blowing article on the spread of EPO use

There was a thread recently on whether we should let athletes dope or not. This article provides a good reason for why we should not allow such silliness.

The article focuses on the spread of EPO and how companies like Amgen (who promote the Tour of California) misused the system to try and promote a dangerous drug.

The part that truly baffles me is how safe dosing went from 3500 unit dose to mega thousand unit dosages. How did the FDA allow this?
