My 2nd IM and first 'M-Dot' event. Hoping it will get me to Kona! Only around 355 days left to train!

This will be my first IM.  I volunteered at IMNY.  Ended up taking their offer and signed up for IMMT instead.

I think the location is going to be better, and the wife is more excited about going to Canada then NYC.  We are planning on making it a little family vacation after the race by renting a condo and having my parents and the in-laws (luckily they get along) come along.

My First HIM ins in 11 Days, and then Philly Marathon in November.

I used mine/ BT's gold member pain for the Half and I think it was worked well, I'll fined out soon.  Will probably use it again for IM training.

Getting really excited and trying to remind my self not to push my training too hard to early.

I did IMUSC (NY) this year and from what I've heard, IMMT was much better, you made the right choice even if they do open NY back up. (I don't think they will).

This will be my second IM. I did IM CdA in 2011. I have heard nothing but great things about this race and the area.
Who is staying in the village hotels and who is renting a house/townhouse?

I volunteered at IMMT this year, I rode and ran the course, much nicer than Lake Placid. This will be IM #5 (IMKY and 3 IMLP). Already made reservations at the Marriott Residence Inn. From what I saw, staying in the Pedestrian Village will make life much easier on race day, lots of lodging options available. Jim

We've been to tremblant many times and have stayed in both the village and in slope side condos.  You just can't go wrong.  I know a couple of people who found great deals on VRBO.  I booked two rooms at La Place St.-Bernard...very reasonable.

Not sure, I ride with Contes and Fat Frogs and do masters swim at Great Neck Rec Center. I think Kelly D mentioned you, as you were both doing IMNY

I'm in for what should be ironman #6 (signed up for Texas too in 2013) and my second time at Mont Tremblant. Is a great race at a great venue and if you have any questions about the race I'd be more than happy to try to answer them.

I'm in.  I signed up with friends to race the 70.3 and then looking at 2013 for an IM this fell on a good month; and was still open; so I guess the half will be a nice preview.  See you all in a little less than a year.

I just checked this morning and all the General entry slots have sold out.  Looks like the news of IMNYC made people move north.  Now it's time to get that Condo rented.

In for my first full since 2010. The reviews sold it for me. Not surprised that as soon as they cancelled IMNYC both IMLP and IMMT sold out...

For those that haven't seen it, this is a nice video of race day 2012

I did MT this year and am signed up for 2013 (will be my 10th) and simply loved this venue.  Can't wait.

Great video ... Any suggestions for lodging? Want to stay right there in the village I think. One of my friends suggested the Marriott but it looks like its already sold out!

I would get that on soon.  And it depends on how long you are going to stay.  I am staying a little over aw week.  I just got a condo from homeaway.com (or VRBO.com).  I like Homeway better because it has a good map feature.  Most of the cheep and good condos in the village are already taken.  There are some really cheep ones outside the village but they require a 20 min drive in some cases.  I needed to rent a place that had maximum of 20/30 min walk from the village since I would expect a lot of road closures.  That way during the race the family could go back and forth with out to much hassle.  With all the general entries sold out I would expect logging is next to go.
