Pre-race routine:

As an accommodation, another athlete and I raced the day before the actual event.
Event warmup:

Arrived early and swam 30 minutes or so.
Swim
  • 06m 27s
  • 500 yards
  • 01m 17s / 100 yards
Comments:

My competitor was a slow swimmer. Would have been nice to have someone to race, but swim was fine.
What would you do differently?:

Participate on race day if possible.
Transition 1
  • 00m
Comments:

Transitions were not timed.
Bike
  • 10m 15s
  • 4 miles
  • 23.61 mile/hr
Comments:

This was harder than it looked. Kept slipping forward on the seat due to wet suit.
What would you do differently?:

Maybe a towel on the seat?
Transition 2
  • 00m
Run
  • 12m 22s
  • 2 miles
  • 06m 06s  min/mile
Comments:

Treadmill was started at 7:00 / mile pace. Jumped on while belt was moving. Sped up to 6:00 / mile pace. Held that for about a mile, then slowed to 6:18. Finished the last 1/4 mile at 5:45 pace.
What would you do differently?:

Could I have pushed it more?
Post race
Warm down:

Walked some on the treadmill. Stretched a bit.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Lack of recent training, motivation, mental toughness.

Event comments:

From pictures, looked like post-race food and drinks were nice.
