Subject: Icebreaker Indoor Marathon Weekend

Yep, that time of year once again!!!!

January 18th thru the 20th.  All inside at the Pettit National Ice Center!!  5k on the 18th (still slots open), half marathons on the morning of the 19th, marathon relay in the afternoon of the 19th and a the full marathon on the 20th.  Volunteers need for all, can never have too many!  And.....if you play your cards right (or wrong, depending on your point of view...) you can work registration with Fillup!

Don't do it folks.  He'll put you in a small, dank, smelly room with workout equipment and no windows/ventilation.  That's how he treats his friends.

How many people are allowed to sign up for the HM and full Marathon? Seems like every year I look, its already sold out!!! Can I at least still get in to skate a full marathon?????

the numbers:

5K - 80 people

each half = 100

marathon relay = 100 teams

marathon = 100

Gold Medal Challenge = 40

Have no idea about the skating marathon in terms of if any spots are open or not......

I was a last-minute stunt-double for a marathon relay team this weekend...what a blast the relay was!  Had a great time running the oval and more importantly seeing some peeps I hadn't seen in a while (isttimetri and jmwebs).

edited to add...yes I saw Dave, but I see him all the time, so that doesn't count.
