2XU tri suit sizing?

I am in the market for my first tri suit. The has some great prices for the next couple of days on 2XU suits but I am at a bit of a loss as to what size to get. I am 6'1" and about 175. I typically wear a L, but I tried on the 2XU Elite suit the other day in a store while out of town and it was way too tight. I have a friend that is almost my exact size and wears a L that is a couple years old, and it fits him perfectly. Anyone have any experience with a 2XY suit that you have bought fairly recently? If so, how does the size run? There isn't a store that sells tri stuff where I live, so I can't go try one on.
