Subject: Argon 18 vs Orbea vs Cervelo

After 2 seasons of doing sprint triathlons on a road bike (Specialized Roubaix) I am ready to purchase a tri bike. Last month I had a bike fitting done using the Retul Muve fit bike. After doing this, it was determined that the bikes that fit me the best and the ones that were in my price range were the Argon 18 E-112, the Orbea Ordu SSJ and the Cervelo P3.

My question is which one of these is the better bike when considering things like weight, handling, road vibrations, components and overall quality of the bike.

Any help with this would be appreciated.

ps. I am 6' tall and weight 167lbs with avg. flexability.

Assuming they all fit (as you indicated), I would probably pick the Argon18, just because the components (the Shimano C75 wheels are excellent race wheels). The Cervelo would be my second choice and although I do love Orbea, that would be my last choice (Orbea came out with a new Ordu for 2013 with significant updates, the SSJ is still the old frame).

Weight handling, etc. etc. etc. they are all good bikes and all this good components. In the end, you really need to ride them to make sure you like they way they feel.

This is not even something you should waste time thinking about. The P3 is the obvious choice here.

What you should be asking yourself is what is the fastest bike between the 3 and the answer without a doubt is a P3. The P3 will also hold its value much more.

Just out of interest, why? I agree that the P3 might holds its value the best, but fastest... not too certain about that... The Argon18 could very well be faster just because of the race wheels that comes as standard.
