Subject: RE: i guess there's no going back now Congrats and welcome. I am also training for my first Tri. One bit of advice would be that now you have this goal.... To make it real start seeing yourself as a Triathlete in training. If you can visualize yourself doing the easy and hard runs and see yourself completing the races it makes all the difference. I have no doubt that I am going to do this. I tell my friends and family and now they are asking me how it is going. Great motivation. Another thing is to keep a log, whether online or one you create or both. Write out a training schedule and stick to it but don't over do it. If you body says to take a day off....by all means do, just get back at it the next day. Once you see the mileage, yards, meters total up for the week/month/year it is very cool and very motivating. Lastly, ask questions, this site is great for information, motivation, feeling down, frustrated or just have an idea. There are all skill levels here and people from around the world with experience in none, one, two or all three disciplines. Good Luck. |
