scoobysdad - 2013-01-11 3:12 PM That said, I wonder if the show was any good, or like today's big acts, they saved more energy for their big market shows.

This actually got me to wondering, so I looked it up.... gotta love the internet!

Nirvana - MTV Unplugged set

I really liked MTV Unplugged.  Stevie Ray Vaughn was asked to do a set and showed up not knowing it was acoustic only.  One of my favorite versions of Pride and Joy was his acoustic version on Unplugged.

flip18436572 - 2013-01-11 9:34 AM Woodstock would be the top of my list.

I was there.  Albeit, I was 8-months old and it was because my oldest sister, Wendy "the hippie", kidnapped me and brought me as "the love baby".  Bigfuzzydad had to drive on up and hunt her down.  He found me and brought me back home again where mom had to wash off the peace signs and flowers painted on my nekkid little body.

I know the sound systems were junk in the day, but I think it would have been an amazing thing to see.  There were some great artists there at the time.

The grateful dead during the early 60's at some of the Keasey acid tests would have been fun.  along those lines, early pink floyd spacerock venues on the british island would have been equally mind boggling.

Would have liked to have seen U2 and Depeche mode in the 80's along with Bob Marley.
