This is the something I have wanted to do for a while.  I made them as coat racks, but have been asked if they would be good for towels.

The door knobs are from the 1890's.  The top one, I had the wire brush the rust off of the knobs and then I clear coated the entire thing.  The other one is the stock knobs, then I just put one coat of clear on the knobs and 5 coats on just the wires.  The holes are 16" on center for easy mounting.
