Pre-race routine:

Ate at 5:00 am, Cliff bar with 20 oz water, 7am french toast, oatmeal, fruit, water.
Event warmup:

Jogged some 20 minutes before start

Started too fast! 11:00 min mile for first 2 mile, heart rate 145+ legs started to hurt at 9 miles.
What would you do differently?:

Slow down at the start and try and run a negative split!

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Training needs to be longer distance, more millage.

Event comments:

Very friendly helpful staff for my first half! End food not very plentiful, Gu's and fluids more than enough!
