This thread is breaking no rule.  I began the thread after discovering an interesting article about a gentleman named Tan who happened to live in the 1800's (apparently Tan's been around a lot longer than BT)

Most historians believe Tan was an illiterate laborer...others believed he went mad from syphilis...after reading just a handful of posts in the TAN threads, I offer to you he very well could have been both the former and the latter.
