Comments:

Nice and Easy Fun Run. My watch said 44:57 which would have put me just under 9:00 minutes per mile but I guess the club listed my gun time and not my chip time? Oh well. Overall it was a good run but I had some pretty not nice knee pain that started at around mile three, I was able to block it out the last mile and going up hill is definitely easier than going down hill - nothing I'm sure a little rest and some motrin can't fix.

eta: Thanks to DTJunkie I was able to get my chip time, gun time was 45:17 but chip time is now noted in race report as official time.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing. Fun winter training run.
Post race
Warm down:

Had to run to get to the Oldest Fraggle's percussion performance.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Speedy Feet has the chip time up. That's what I've decided to go with as my official time.

... DT Junkie!

I edited my race report. I know it seems silly but that was the difference between an above 9:00/mile and sub 9:00/mile and in the midst of winter I'll take every confidence booster I can

Definitely! Going with chip time instead of gun time gave me a 20 second PR instead of a 5 second one. I was surprised the ORRRC's results had gun time when chip time was available. Why use chips if you aren't going to use them!

I know right? Many thanks! What's on your schedule this year? I see we have a mutual acquaintance...bananatoes, you're obviously in the area, hope to cross paths with you!

My A race will be the Air Force Marathon but I'll also be doing a lot of ORRRC races throughout the year (so far I'm 3 for 3 with the Dirt Dawg 8 Miler, Splash & Dash #1, and the Frostbite 5) . I'm signed up for the HFP Caesar Creek Sprint and will probably do a few of Speedy Feet's Wednesday Night Tris at Caesar Creek as well but no triathlons more intense than that. It seems I have completely lost my desire to bike.

How does your schedule look?
