Subject: Tubular Question

I just got a set of tubular race wheels and have a question.  I plan to keep training on my bomb proof clinchers and only ride the carbon tubulars for races and maybe a training ride ever couple months.  Should I leave the tubulars inflated while not in use?  Is there a PSI I should keep them at in between rides or just let them be?

Just wondering if having them fully inflated and not used would be bad...or underinflated and not used would be bad.

Thanks for the help!

Don't over think this... ride them, inspect them afterward for any damage, and then put them away.

(Nothing messes with my head more than racing on a tire with a more than "normal" blemish, or racing on a tire with zero miles on it. So inspect them before you put them away.)

You can let some air out, but you don't have to. Depending on the tires, they may loose some pressure while in storage anyway. Mine go flat in a weeks time. Totally normal.

Enjoy the new wheels!

Like shohen said, don't over think this. They are just wheels.

I keep my tubulars fully inflated when not in use.  I have never deflated them when not in use.

I let my tubies go flat and sit each season end. Never been a problem.

Just glue the crap out of them.

Best thing you can do it is to hang up the wheels on a hook after you're done with them. That way you don't have to think about inflation. If you leave them leaning against a wall, you will need a little air in them (i.e. not completely flat) to avoid flat spots. Again, don't overthink it... it's just wheels/tubbies.
