Though I approve of the BT rules in general, there are SOME problems with them. The rules of behavior and content keep the site "family friendly" and basically eliminated flat out abuse by people. However, what comes with that, if people are not allowed to express themselves the way the want, they resort to subtle passive aggressive insults. THEN they shrug it off like they didn't know what they were saying. I think most people here are smarter than that. I would prefer to just be called a moron, than some subtle passive aggressive inference that I'm a moron. Then I call them on it, and they say "I don't know what you mean, I never CALLED you a moron". Um, yeah you do. If you got something to say, man up and say it. Hidden jabs and insults are just weak. BUT, we are not allowed to just say it, so hidden jabs to skirt the rules is the only recourse for some. Come to think of it, it's like that everywhere. MOST people are afraid to just say what they want to say, say snarky things then deny they had any clue what they said was offensive and it must be the guilty conscious of the other person. I think most people know what they are saying - or am I giving people too much credit? I think you may be over analyzing a bit, probably over generalizing a bit as well. |

Dude.... that's funny right there, coz the other day you disagreed with me on something in another thread and then mentioned "morons" on another.. I totally thought you could have been referring to me. I disagree with a lot of people on BT but I try to separate disagreement with overall character assassination. I'd be pissed if someone was allowed to call me a bad name out in the open. Just because they think it, it doesn't make it true. If I post my opinion on BT there is a chance someone might disagree with me.. strongly. That's ok. If I can't handle it, I shouldn't voice the opinion in the first place. |

As for poking people with sharp objects, I try to reserve that for those who truely deserve it. Though I can think of a few around here who fit that bill, you, as far as I know, are not one of them. Luckily, I do have a nice new sword to use for that purpose, should the need arise. |
