Pre-race routine:

Raced and won my AG in a 10k on Saturday, so when I woke up I knew my legs were not going to cooperate with me trying to race, so training/tempo run it is.
Event warmup:

Waited in line for the bathroom and snuck into the corrals about 2 minutes before the race started.

Comments:

Forecast called for cloudy, windy, rain, and cold temps. We got sunny, warm, and windy during the race. I was overdressed as was everyone else. Started out with 1:30 pace group, when we went out 6:40 first mile, I knew that wasnt going to last. Fell off their pace and just ran at a comfortable pace the rest of the way.
What would you do differently?:

This year had a new course and it was HILLY. The uphills are long and steep and the downhills are to steep to relax on. They will turn your toenails black.
Post race
Warm down:

Had a nice breakfast with BTers Pete, Patrick, Reece, and his daughter.

Great run Jon, especially day after a fast 10K. I would only think of going mile 1 at 6:40 pace in a 5K, let alone a half!
