Comments: Choppy water on the way out, difficult to sight because of low-lighting due to overcast skies and small field--only 1 person ahead of me to follow because others were out of sight. What would you do differently?: Need to work on getting my legs up, they felt like they kept sinking. Also I seem to have trouble with heavy breathing--maybe it's all in my head, but I feel like I am tired the whole time. Transition 1
Comments: Was a little dizzy coming off the swim; put on a wind vest because of cooler temps; fairly slow transition for me. What would you do differently?: Didn't need the vest. Bike
Comments: Headwind strong in some places, but tailwind in the same places (on the out and back portion). Lots of rollers, a few steep climbs. What would you do differently?: Happy with my approach to the bike, just need to ride hills more for preparation. Transition 2
Comments: Fast, easy transition. Run
Comments: Felt really great on the run. I guess I didn't push too hard on the bike because legs felt okay all the way until the last mile of the run. was worried I wouldn't be able to take in any more nutrition, but managed most of a Gu Chomps package, plus Gatorade from the course. Post race

Wake at 4:30. Car already packed. Clif bar at 6:00am. Water. Advil. Gatorade Pre just before start.
10 minute warm up swim (did not feel warmed up, time was running short, otherwise I would have stayed in the water longer)
