Subject: Need opinion on a bike
I am looking at getting a bike this weekend and based on my price point I have narrowed it down to two. I was wondering if anyone had an opinion one way or the other on which way to go. This will be my first (and probably only) road/tri bike for a while. The choices are:

2004 Cervelo One (http://cervelo.com/bikes/one.html)
2004 Felt F70 (http://feltracing.com/2004_bikes/f70.html)

As a note, both of them feel pretty much the same to me (I know that comes up a lot when people ask for recommendations).

Subject: Felt F70 vs Cervelo One
If both bikes feel the same to you then you have to make your decision based on your needs, the price and the availability of the bikes. The Cervelo One is a dual geometry road/tri bike, which is road or race ready; at $1299 plus the cost of clipless pedals, it is a bargain. The Felt F70 is a very good bike but it is only a single geometry road bike. In my humble opinion, the Cervelo is the better buy of the two, but you have to decide because you will have to live with your choice for some time. Good luck in deciding.

Actually I can get the Cervelo for 999.00 at the LBS, the Felt is on sale as well (its 850$). So for 150$ do you still like the Cervelo over the Felt?

The difference in price would not make a difference to me as I have a fairly well paying job; I would buy the Cervélo. BUT! that is only my personal opinion. Nobody can choose for you. Drive them both again and decide which you prefer based on quality and handling.
