Subject: RE: Difference between 50 miler and 100k Completely depends on the course.
For me the difference was almost 5 hours. Yep, you read that right. 5 hours for 12 additional miles.
But the 50 miler I did was fairly flat (Rocky Racoon ), and the 100k had some big climbs and is super technical (Bandera ).
It was also hugely mental for me. Rocky was 3 loops of 17 miles each, and Bandera was 2 loops of 50K each.
Let's just say I didn't want to go back out for that second loop at Bandera. I'm lucky I had my wife there to get my @ss up out of the chair and keep moving! |
