Breakdowns come in 3s?

My Saturday morning ride is supposed to be 50 miles but 3 weeks ago at 30 miles out I broke a spoke and had to call my neighbor to come get me. 2 weeks ago on the same course at 25 miles out I had a flat. I had a spare but my CO2 cartridge was empty so I had to call my buddy to come get me. When he picked me up he siad "You know, breakdowns come in 'threes' so you need to stay home next weekend!" I told him I had a race the next weekend so wouldn't be on this course. The race went off w/o a hitch last weekend. This weekend I took off on my course for a 50 miler and at 23 miles the next great deluge came and I had to call my wife to come get me!

I'm not a superstitious person but.....well, anyway, maybe my course is cursed! ;-)
