Did anyone else see the FB post by USAT Rocky Mountain Region yesterday? Apperantly there is a new 70.3 in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. I must admit I'm intrigued.

Hopefully things start calming down now that they caught the Zetas Cartel leader has been caught.

We used to race motorcycles there as our season opener. Because of things i see/have seen at work i wont be heading down there again.

In the mid 90's we were treated like royalty but in todays world, good luck!!!

Yeah, hubby put a veto on this one. I guess it'll be Galveston or St. George Undecided

Don't forget IM Cozumel and Los Cabos. The vacation spots are still pretty crime free. It gets really iffy when you have to drive through the border (I used to go down to Rocky point all the time for the Tri there), along with the 50 mile bike from Santa Rosa to Ensenada. No longer... it's just too random for safe travel through the border.

Now if you're flying directly into Cancun, Coz, or Cabos it's a pretty different story. These days you can get flights down there for almost as cheap as you can fly anywhere in the states.

Some mistakes I made during the Hawaii Ironman 70.3. Don't be caught out on the course not knowing how or not having the equipment to change a flat tire.

It was the morning of Ironman Newfoundland 70.3, I felt queasy. I didn't want to eat or drink anything. I had a full blown case of the pre-race HEEBEE GEEBEES.

A bad race left me smoldering, but time and a gentle breeze ignited my passion to race again.
