I recently bought a used tri-bike that hadn't been ridden in 4 years. Making some adjustments, I broke a bolt in my aerobar mounting bracket. I then broke a bolt extractor (e-z out) into the bolt pretty much destroying the bracket.

I had emailed Profile Design with a picture of the mount to see if they would sell me a new mount, but hadn't heard back. Well, today, in the mail I get a package from Profile Design with a catalog and a new bracket for my aerobars.

Tomorrow, I was going to buy a used set of aerobars to replace my current ones, but now I don't need re-cable my dereraileurs nor re-tape my aerobars.

If they could just figure out how to keep the splash guard in the bottle, I am on my third and started taping it for every ride...one good bump and it comes shooting out, can't always retrieve....

Every time I've dealt with Profile's customer service, they've gone above and beyond. Even when I bought the bars used, had stripped mounting brackets, etc, they've always been prompt with shipping out the replacements, for free, in spite of my offers to pay.

In fact, with one set, it took 3 times to get the right brackets, and they didn't even want me to send the wrong ones back. I guess sending them a picture would have helped...

If you're talking about the Aerobottle, why haven't you gone to the poofy as a replacement. Cheap (<$1 at Walmart) and effective, comes in all the fashionable colors as well:

for those of you sanitarily challenged ones, a poofy is the new style of scrubbies for use in the shower. Hee hee. I have used poofies I purchase at Walmart for some time. I bought one shortly after my original splash guard from Profile Design hit the road. I put the little hanging loop around the straw, just in case, but have never had one pop out.

Good luck and smell you later,
Mike

PS I would advise you purchase one for the shower and one for your bike. In my opinion it would not be advisable to intermingle the two uses.

You have to be careful using the poofy word to casually or outside shower/tri context as it has additional meanings....wonders of Google at your fingertips....learn something every day...
