Subject: New PR!
I'm nearing my first sprint tri(late August) so I've been switching over to more brick workouts. Today I did a run/swim brick, running a 5k and then doing a 300m swim. I did reasonably well on the 5k(27:48, just under 9 minute/mile pace) considering I was trying to save some for the swim, then went back to the locker room and did a quick change and hit the pool. I went at it and cracked the 7 minute mark on my swim for the first time ever! 3 months ago I was barely able to do 300m in a workout, and when I did it would take me nearly 14 minutes(including breaks). Today I did it in 6:50! Woohoo!

I'm now average, yay!

A new PR and it was achieved in a workout vs. on race day!! WOO HOO - You do have reason to celebrate. You have come a long way and will only improve if you keep at it.

Think about how well you will do on race day based on all those tough brick workouts! Good luck with your training!
