And hello. I am from Aotearoa New Zealand. I am very new to triathlon and relatively new to any kind of physical exercise of any persuasion as it was non-existent a year ago - and I'm not joking even at 43 years of age. I started training back in January for the Rotorua Half Marathon walk and decided to continue on and train for my first triathlon in December this year at the half IronMaori Hawkes Bay (Napier). I had a crazy brain fart moment and signed up for Ironman NZ 30th Anniversary 2014 in Taupo. I have quite a journey to go yet. I have had a busy year along with my lovely lady who is also doing her first quarter IronMaori in November. I will come full circle and run the full marathon at next year's Rotorua Marathon 2014 which will also be its 50th Anniversary.
I am looking forward to crossing the finish line at all events. I think 2014 will be a very special year as 2013 has already proven to be

Welcome to BT and congrats on your triathlons, Max! I went up to Taupo for IMNZ last year--it is such a special, special place and event and the 30th should be incredible.

You have some lofy goals, but there's nothing wrong with that. Good luck in your training and let us know if you have questions along the way.
