Comments:

I'm totally guessing on the time. for some reason, none of the swim/run times were reported. Doah! Anyway, a great swim off Nantucket. was supposed to be 3/4 mile, but given the headwind and chop, it felt like a lot longer. There were 37people in front of me at the start of the swim, and maybe 3 or 5 when I hit the beach. A few guys out there I just couldn't catch. Slayed the swim!

Comments:

Argh. I guess I didn't zip it down the whole way, and the wetsuit got stuck such that I couldn't get it off my arms. felt like I was in a straight jacket. then, spent time wiping the sand off my feet.
What would you do differently?:

zip it down all the way!

Comments:

I had about as good a run as can be expected given that I really haven't been running. soft sand, and a bunch of wooden jetties to hop over. heck, it was like one of those tough mudder races. I passed a couple, and 3 or 4 passed me on the run- for which I had no response. body was redlined.
Post race
Warm down:

drank water

What limited your ability to perform faster:

lack of run training. lack of wetsuit stripping training.

Event comments:

Had a hoot of a time being part of team "ACKupational Hazard". Overall- the team did pretty poorly, but my swim went well. I was flyin'. Got a nice neck hickey from the wetsuit. Then- got stuck at the beach without a ride. hitchhiked back to the Jetties. All worked out. fun fun fun.

Although you can receive all of your vitamins and minerals through foods eaten in the diet, nutritional products used for training may not allow you to meet recommendations on a daily basis.

This is not an easy task, especially for the “9-to-5er” with family. But you can do it – all without sacrificing your marriage, job or family.

Club or group workouts are very motivating and soon you’ll start feeling like a triathlete, making you less likely to flake out.
