Pre-race routine:

Up early and had an English Muffin and a bagel. Had a gel just before race start.
Event warmup:

Ran about 10 minutes with some light stretching.

Comments:

Ran this one at the ragged edge based on the finish. At 20 miles, I was pretty sure I could hold on. At 22, I was starting to wonder. At 24, I was starting to doubt. At 25, I knew I could do it for one more mile.
What would you do differently?:

Should have grabbed more than one glass at the water stops, despite the cool temps.
Post race
Warm down:

Tried to keep moving for a while, especially since I had to drive 3 hours back to Boston almost right away and then get on a plane.

Event comments:

Very small but well-run marathon. Aid stations were a bit far apart, which made it hard to stay well-hydrated without taking multiple cups on the way through.

Very good post race spread given the size. Water, G2, chocolate milk. Lots of snacks.

Overall, this is a great BQ race, which is why I chose it in the first place.

I signed up for Ironman Frankfurt, next year July - and I am very excited about it. I originally planned to run my first Marathon in the middle of September, but am not sure if this is wise.
