Comments:

A good swim considering I hadn't planned to do it due to a lack of fitness. I would have been happy with anything around 1h 30m.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Lack of fitness. My training has been disrupted for the past 4 months due to travel and a recent illness.

Event comments:

The race started 10 minutes late due to a record number of entrants for a swimming WA OWS event. 4 distances were on offer - 1.25Km, 2.5Km, 5Km and 10Km with over 500 swimmers.

Pssst ... you should change your title to what I put

CONSPANKULATIONS KingKat! Super job on short notice and training.

Also, you forgot to put the MAIN reason for your lack of training. Ahem. Because you were busy ... doing other kinds of training. Cough cough

Stroke after stroke, my pace was pulling me out into the middle of the lake quickly. The cover seemed to be getting thicker. But still in the distance, the little boathouse was my lighthouse.

Some are getting a little OWS practice in, others are strategizing, the rest are just plain scared.
