Think of these 3 girls next time you are working to strengthen your core.

Planks may not look so bad anymore

My apologies.

The first minute is a song and dance bit then followed by the mind bending flexibility that was aformentioned.

Bone thrown. albeit too late for some.

Perhaps some enjoyed the song as well.

Argh - now I'm going to be singing about potato salad all day long!

Crazy flexible and crazy strong - wish I had that kind of core strength!

off topic, but somewhat relevant.  I was swimming in the pool at the gym yesterday and the girl swimming in the lane next to me was stopped at the end and standing there facing her lane.  No big deal, next lap I come back and she's still standing there, but only has one leg now.  I stopped because of the wtf that just went through my head.

I stood up and she was standing there with her right leg straight up in the air behind her shoulder like it was no big deal.  It was really strange, but I believe she was practicing synchronized swimming and it was part of her warm up routine.

Ouch, me watching that made my chiropractor cringe. When they lay on their chest (neck) and put their feet on the floor in front of their face it just doesn't look real. That's just not something the human body is supposed to be able to do. I wish I had 1/120 of that flexibility. I can't even touch my toes.

I know! Right?

I am starting to take a flexibility and contortion class and my flexibility is pathetic. Some of the gals around me make it look so easy going into the splits, etc. But I'm trying to get more flexible!
