Subject: Different paces?
This is probably operator (me) error somehow, but why does my training log display a different pace than it shows when I'm in edit mode?

Today for example:

I added this morning's run, and in the Edit Mode is shows under "Actual Ran"

hh:mm:ss
0 : 37: 46

3.1 : Dist

12:18 : Pace Mins/Mile

When I save the day, my training log in regular view then displays

37m 46s 3.10 miles 12m 11s /mile

What am I missing? Why is the pace 12:18 in one and 12:11 in the other...

thanks!

Michelle

In the 'edit' screen, the paces are in decimal minutes as that is the way it gets entered into the dbase and is the basis for all calculations.  Technically in the 'edit screen', its says 12.18 - that .18 is a 'decimal minute'...if you multiply that out by 60sec/1min you get 10.8 seconds ~ 11 seconds = 12min11sec/mile.

The log edit screen is the only place we use decimal minutes  for display.  All other viewing screens break it out into minutes|seconds.

Aha! I knew it would be something math-related and therefore totally beyond me.

Thanks for the quick reply. Now I know which one to track!

thanks!
