Subject: trail running in Pachaug
Last summer, we moved to a place in Griswold that directly borders Pachaug State Forest. I have done a few runs on the trails, and I'm kinda getting into the trail running thing over pounding pavement. If anyone is interested in joining me, we have trails into the forest that literally start in my yard. Planning to try and do some regular Sunday AM runs, gradually increasing distance, open to company.

I can train for half marathons on pavement and on trails, but as soon as I change it up to gravel or loose dirt my knee swells and the pain it causes is unreal. Any ideas why this happens?
