Run
Comments: It was HOT and HUMID. There was really no air to be had in the beginning. There were tens of thousands of other runners. There was never really any time during the race that you didn't have to worry about tripping over somebody. My brothers goal was to do the race in an hour or less. After mile two he stated that this was a good pace. (9:30's) That pace was not going to get us to the hour goal. That was ok with me as I was just intent on finishing with him not beating any arbitrary time. I saw one of the guys I rode with on RAGBRAI at the half way point. He was spectating. I hollered out to him. Small world. What would you do differently?: Nothing except do some kind of weather dance to get the temperature lower. Post race
Warm down: We got some water and walked through the feed zone. My nephew pulled up and we hopped in the car and were out of there. Now it was time to get cleaned up and get ready for my other nephews wedding. Last updated: 2006-04-27 12:00 AM

I woke up early. My brother was coming over to pick me up. Not enough time for breakfast so I grabbed my waterbottle and waited for my ride.
We walked to the starting area with thousands of other people.
