Pre-race routine:

Up at 0430, Granola and an Apple, 4 or 5 waterbottles. At the site about 0530...Set up T1/T2, watched the ocean for awhile as the sun came up

...in the Uniform Cat...good size surf for our heat and got really knocked around on the way out and inbetween the first 2 buoys
What would you do differently?:

...start wider angled to keep from being trampled...

Damned bike shoes are lace-tied, so it took me a few to get socks on and tie them up...after that it went well...knocked almost 1:30 off my last T1
What would you do differently?:

Velcro Shoes with Drain holes...find an alt to socks

Used cpu to keep pace above 19mph [thanks honey]....fell into a 'mini-pack' of 3 that kept leap-frogging position...helped keep my attention and intensity up. Had a strong bike leg.
What would you do differently?:

Legs better prepared for the ride...had little left for the run...again, wish I had velcro shoes...next season a lighter, more able bike is my goal as well..

...haha...took the bike to the wrong rack...and wondered why I couldnt find my run shoes...had to jump it to the next rack over and then continue the Transition...took a waterbottle with me as I exited the T2 and ditched it about 50yds into the run...T2 is consistent with the first race
What would you do differently?:

...get the bike onto MY rack first...drink more water on the bike leg or find some b/f the halfway water station

Sucked. Had nothing left for the run and stretched my hamstrings for about 5s after 200yds. Needed more water prior to...but also felt a cramp...you know, like when you have had to pee for awhile, but didnt?
What would you do differently?:

Drink more water on the bike leg, stretch more thoroughly [read: calves] prior to the race
