Subject: Making a 10 week plan, a 12 week plan
Hey there,
I am not sure if this is the right place for this, but I thought I'd ask the experts.
I am looking to turn the 10 week aggressive sprint training plan into a 12 week plan, because my race is in 12 weeks. However, I am not sure which two weeks to double up.

I am also on a limited budget, and am not planning to join as a paying member until I am tackling something more aggressive.

I figure week 10 shouldn't be doubled because it's race week, and there are more breaks. I was thinking week 1 and week 5?

Is your race a sprint triathlon or a "mini-sprint" (sometimes called "tri-a-tri", or "short" triathlon, usually about half the distance of a typical sprint triathlon).

The only free 10-week plan I see that has "aggressive" in the name is a mini-sprint. If that's the plan you're doing, then don't overthink it-- just repeat whichever weeks you think you need to (but not the last week).

If your race is an actual sprint triathlon, you are better off following the "Original" sprint triathlon plan. Yes, it's 13 weeks and not 12-- chances are you're probably ready to start in week 2.

Yes! I am doing the mini-sprint plan, as I am starting with a try a tri. Thanks for the advice!

I want to follow the Winter Maintenance-Run Focus program (8 weeks), but don't know when to start. I also want to do the Intermediate Sprint-12 week program before my first race.

This training plan has only 2 workouts per sport per week and peaks at 7.5 hours per week of training. Use this plan if you are time constrained or if you want to focus more on your family.

This Intermediate 20 week plan is a quick ramp up in overall volume, but with 20 weeks to train only, it is a gradual and safe approach because of the alternating weeks of the long run/bike.

The schedule consists of 3 workouts per week in each sport, 2 days of strength training and core work too. The maximum volume is around 7 hours toward the end of the 12 weeks.
