Hey all!
Just signed up here
(obviously
) after getting very little help on a cycling forum and discovering this one!
I am relatively new to triathlons. I have now done 2 sprints, one longer sprint
(750/26/8
) and an Olympic. I wasn't fast by any means, especially the Oly, but I had so much fun
(and pain
), and enjoyed the hard work of training from no fitness to these immensely! I am hooked! It is now the end of the seasons in Australia
(or so I think...
), so it is time to do some research and work out some proper training for the end of this year! I have bought 'the Triathlete's training bible' and am reading through it, I am in the process of setting my goals!
I am very keen to improve my sprint and Olympic times
(1hr25m, and 2hr50m respectively
), and am also eyeing off a 70.3 as a real challenge! Can it be done? I have at least 6 months, probably 7, until even the sprints begin again. As I said, I have come from doing absolutely nothing, but am young
(23
) and can probably squeeze 10 or so hours a week around work and other commitments! As I have read, I should be working on my endurance more than speed, I was hoping I could try and work the two together to see if I can do the 70.3!
Anyway, enough waffle! Thanks for having me along!
