Subject: Push through or Time to Panic? Looking for someone's .02 here,
I've been training for a HIM on June 14th. Up to last week my training has been very consistent using a 4 week training structure (3 weeks "on"/1 recovery week ). I had a 6 day vacation/wedding last week so I pushed out my recovery by 1 week to coincide with the vacation. I was extremely happy with my last few training sessions before leaving and I planned on coming back for a solid 2-3 week build before taper/race. I was in a house with 9 recent college grads so needless to say it was completely unproductive for training.
So far my first 3 days back have been awful. My hr is about 10-12 bpm higher with a slower pace across all 3 disciplines and I've been hurting more than usual. Is this something I should panic about with my race only a few weeks away or is it just a shock to the system which I'll bounce back from in a day or two?
