Swim
Comments: This was one of the better swims for me. I started about 15th in line. I caught a lady doing the backstroke and was passed by one person. I got into a nice rhythm right from the start and really picked it up at the end. What would you do differently?: I'm usually about in the middle for the swim so 13th overall was awesome. Transition 1
Comments: Pool to transition was a little trek but not bad. Everything went smooth Was 1 second from being fastest in AG What would you do differently?: Normal transition Bike
Comments: I went out to hard and to fast for my training which is about nil right now. I started cramping about mile 15 but just kept pressing. The course is a little hilly but had some nice flats. I was trying for 54 mins. so I was close. Passed 4 people and was passed by 2. What would you do differently?: Train more Transition 2
Comments: T-2 has always been fast for me Was 20 seconds ahead of the next in AG What would you do differently?: Same time as the winner so I was pleased Run
Comments: This is where the wheels came off. This was the slowest 5k I have ever run. The bike killed me and it was extremely humid and then the sun came out. Both calves cramped right at the start. About a half mile in they settled down. When I got up to race pace my heart rate went out of site. So I settled into a run fast then walk a few steps pace. By the end I had nothing left and was happy to finish. I only remember getting passed by 3 people...but my mind was blurry by then. What would you do differently?: Not hammer the bike with no training Post race
Warm down: Jumped into the pool to cool down...drank free beer and ate food What limited your ability to perform faster: Hot Humid weather and lack of training Event comments: This is the 6th time for this race and triathlon number 70. Team Magic used to put this race on and now it is all volunteers. They did an awesome job. Met a lot of neat people. Last updated: 2014-09-10 12:00 AM

Got up to early but stayed up anyways. Ate a bowl of Oatmeal with Peanut Butter...took some meds with water...loaded up the Soul. Left the house at 4:30 am and arrived at 5:45. Only a few people had arrived at this ungodly hour. Talked to a few and waited for registration to open. Got registered and set up transition.
Little jog around the parking lot and 2 laps in the pool.
