  • 1500 meters
  • 01m 57s / 100 meters
Comments:

This swim was probably one of my most comfortable. was surprised that I was able to pass people from previous waves. i usually bilat breath but was more comfortable just breathing every stoke. I think that I actually was sighting beter because of it.
Transition 1
  • 03m 8s
What would you do differently?:

was slow getting wet suit off
Bike
  • 1h 23m 57s
  • 25.25 miles
  • 18.05 mile/hr
Comments:

Bike was hilly and roads were not the greatest. since feeling so good out of the water i decided that i would push on the bike. was able to pass quite a few people.
Transition 2
  • 03m 20s
Comments:

took time to load my garmin because i had planned to do the 1/2 mile run 1 min walk.
Run
  • 1h 01m 57s
  • 6.2 miles
  • 09m 59s  min/mile
Comments:

I felt really good on this run. Started to get pretty warm though. Just kept the training and did 1/2mile 1 min. Would have been a bit more speedy but had to stop and visit the port potty, just couldnt hold it any longer!! At least it wasnt the usual reason to stop!!!
What would you do differently?:

Push the run a bit harder
Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster:

I am training for IMFL and this race was just to practice OWS before FL. I had run my long 18 mile run on Sat and had no hopes of doing anything good. Then after the swim went so well decided to push the race a bit without getting hurt.

Event comments:

Love Se Up races. They always do a great job!

That is pretty speedy all around, especially after a long run the day before the race!  Awesome work on the short course!

I've done the Sprint in the past and am looking to up to the International this year - I remember the water being warm enough that I didn't need a wetsuit: did you need one for this swim or was it a just nice to have thing?

Knowing where the fluids are, how they will fit on your bike, how much to reach for, and when to reach for it should be understood prior to ever setting foot on the course.
