Subject: RE: NewbieOriginally posted by Smiley9188 Hi! My name is Colleen and I have been stalking my local triathlon group online and now I'm signed onto this app so I guess I Can finally admit that Yes, I am planning to do some sprint triathlons this summer. I'm signed up for an indoor tri three weeks from today (yikes!). I've been running for about 9 months but would still consider running my weakest of the three sports. Saying that, I've only been on a spin bike a few times and don't own a bike but still, running seems hardest. Sorry, I'm rambling. Anyway I'm scared as hell to take this plunge but here I go... I plan to do 5 or so this summer. I'm looking for any tips, tricks and secrets to make this easier and fun and to help keep me injury free. Thank you for reading my intro! Hi Colleen, welcome to BT and triathlon! Running can be hard ... it's the hardest on the physical structures of the body. Run easy walk some if you want to. I'd suggest joining one of the mentor groups here--they're terrific for support, advice, etc. Good luck! |
