Subject: Melt away 10 lbs in January
I have to say that I am rather pleased with myself this holiday season. Not only did I not gain any weight, I actually managed to lose 1½ lbs since Thanksgiving. Yeah, yeah, I know, not much. But consider that the average American will gain 1-2 lbs over that same period and you will understand why I'm happy.

BUT, I cannot be content to rest upon that success. Instead I am challenging myself, and anyone who wants to join me, to lose an average of 2.5 lbs a week for the month of January, or 10 lbs overall. My starting weight for this challenge is an even 370 lbs as weighed this morning.

I think I am in - although 10 sounds agressive. I put on 8 or so over Nov/Dec and want to get that off.

Weighed in at 233.6 this morning and want to see 202 by July

Welcome Pete. Yes, 10 is rather aggressive. Most plans say to shoot for 1-2 lbs per week. Four and a half weeks in January would be 9 lbs. So, one more shouldn't be too tough.

I'm curious about the 'don't increase your run by more than 10% per week' rule. Is there a minimum mileage under which this doesn't apply?

How should I go about training for the marathon while also building base in the other two events? Doing this seems like it's causing me to break the 10% rule in running.

Yes, the Dual is a little heavier than Cervèlo’s high end counterparts. But…the price is within reach of the masses and it still incorporates all of the design features that make a Cervèlo special.
