Anyone doing the Pinehurst International Triathlon tomorrow? Weather looks very iffy with potential thunderstorms in the morning. Should I brave it and get up at 3am to do it or just bag it?

Does the race info mention the bad weather policy anywhere?  Would the race just be postponed because of storms or would they shut it down all together?  Perhaps try to find out the policy by contacting the race director before making the drive.  It's a tough call, given the unpredictable nature of storms (sometimes they happen, sometimes they go around or don't form).

Ironically, they cancelled last year due to storms and gave free entry to those folks for this race. But those were REALLY bad storms.

I was toying with racing it but I am not 100% because of injuries and then the forecast sealed the deal for me.

Knowing where the fluids are, how they will fit on your bike, how much to reach for, and when to reach for it should be understood prior to ever setting foot on the course.
